Canadian Inquisition

One of my favorite destinations on the web is canadian-based InquiringMind Magazine known to many as INQMND. Started up by Toronto bred Michael Bercasio and ran by a crew of talented and young self described hard-nosed, passionate, and ambitious individuals. INQMND started up about two years back, and since then has formed into a staple in any street-culture savvy reader's repertoire. I stumbled upon the site one day reading up on one of my personal heroes Jeff Staple, I found out INQMND had done an interview with him recently. When I entered the site it was like walking into a modern, upscale hotel lobby. There's an ecclectic hip-hop soundtrack playing at all times, I heard Mobb Deep AND Common. The layout is incredible and designed so seamlessly that you literally feel like you're floating through it. From the photography to the graphics its all amazing and that's just the visual part. They've interviewed some of the most influential people in street culture and with such skill for the craft only found in professional journalism. One of my favorite things to check out is their "Buyer's Buyble" chock full of some amazing photograhpy, featuring quality brands and goods for the season. INQMND is more like an expierience more than anything else. As is said on their blog: "The more you know the less you pretend to know". . .

Ronson Royal Family

Earlier I mentioned Mark Ronson and his new album "Version". It will be released on July 10th in the US. He has a great fusion of jazzy melodies and funky breaks, with a mix of dance and hip-hop tracks. It's a hipster's soundtrack with songs like "Oh my god" featuring fellow UK native Lilly Allen you can't go wrong. Interestingly, Mark comes a from a family of talent; his sister Samntha Ronson was the first rock/ dj act signed with Roc-a-fella records a few years back. Samantha is also a NY hipster and self-proclaimed sneaker-freak. Sister Charlotte has her own claim to fame and is best known for her trendy clothing line simply called: Charlotte Ronson. Check out the video for Mark Ronson's single "Stop me" here:

If you haven't checked this book out yet you definitely should. Bansky is an infamous UK-based artist, famous for his graffiti and controversial street art. This book follows his work all around the world, a must see for anyone into graffit or artists in general.
